A wonderful experience for all levels, from beginner to advanced, enjoy the friendly coaching sessions each morning and afternoon, (Tuesday to Thursday) where everyone can learn from seeing how everyone else is getting on, guided by Liane. This event is running alongside the Keyboard Cavalcade Home Organ & Keyboard Holiday, established in 1985 and well-known for its warm atmosphere from regularly bringing together lots of music enthusiasts. The masterclasses will take place in The Villa, a separate building to the main festival, but all will be welcome to come in to the main event to enjoy keyboard and organ shows of popular music (generally from the 1920s through to the 1970s, plus plenty of big band and show music) played by the UK’s very best players. There will also be displays of the latest keyboards with the UK’s most trusted dealers. About Liane Carroll – Award Winning International Vocalist Multi award-winning vocalist and pianist, Liane Carroll, was born in London, raised in Hastings, and has been making music since she was three. Her singing and piano playing have made her well known the around the world. She has performed and recorded with artists such as Charlie Haden, Gerry Rafferty, Ladysmith Black Mombasa, Ian Shaw, Claire Martin OBE and Sir Paul McCartney. Equally at home in intimate jazz venues and vast performance spaces, in summer 2016 Liane took part in the BBC Proms with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland and regularly headlines at international jazz festivals. She is a great supporter of young and emerging artists and is much in demand by youth orchestras, ensembles and colleges for her inspirational approach to teaching. Liane has won many awards including Best Female Jazz Vocalist, Ronnie Scott’s Award; was twice winner of BBC Jazz Awards and more. She performs widely, collaborates with universally famous musicians and has recorded several albums to critical acclaim. She teaches in the UK, France, Portugal and Hawaii. She runs workshops for aspiring vocalists at all levels of experience, with her coaching embodying the same inspiration, passion and brilliance she displays as a performer.
